As a complete beginner, you’ll learn basic chord structures, how to read standard and tab notation, how to play simple scales and melodies, as well as the art of improvisation. It’s recommended you come prepared with a list of your favorite bands or artists so you can learn how to play songs that you already love. The goal with beginner guitar lessons is to create a solid working foundation so you can develop into a more advanced player. 


As an intermediate or advanced player, I’ll show you how to expand on your technique, chosen style, as well as further develop your knowledge in music theory, chord arrangements, and transcription. During this stage of development, you’ll move on from using basic method books, and start learning more complex guitar arrangements. This will also allow room for more improvisation and more advanced scales, arpeggios, and other techniques including bending, sliding, and articulation.

Recommendation: For kids or adults who are completely new to guitar, ukulele lessons are a fantastic instrument to begin with. Why? Not only is it easier to play than guitar, but it’s also more affordable. Of course, if you’re excited to dive directly into electric, acoustic, or bass guitar lessons, then that’s not an issue.
